Lauren Wells-Jones

EDITOR – PHOTOGRAPHER

I am a editor and photographer based in Adelaide, South Australia, with a strong interest in documentary storytelling through both still and moving images. With experience in agency environments and independent productions, I have worked across corporate content, TVCs, micro-documentaries, and ad campaigns. My keen eye for detail and technical expertise have also led me to work as an assistant editor on feature film projects, shaping narratives from behind the scenes.

Some of my recent credits include:

  • The Eaters 2024 (dir. Gemma Salomon) – Gothic short film – Editor
  • The Angels: Kickin’ Down the Door 2022 (dir. Maddie Parry) – Assembly & 1st Assistant Editor
  • Black Empire 2022 (SBS documentary) – Assistant Editor
  • The Photo Box 2022 (dir. Shalom Almond) – Editor (Premiered at Adelaide Festival 2022)

I was previously selected for the South Australian Film Corporation x Mercury CX Master/Apprentice Mentorship Program (2020), where I was mentored by editor David Scarborough, and later for the Gender Matters Connect mentorship program (2021), facilitated by WIFT Australia and funded by Screen Australia, under the guidance of senior producer Naomii Taylor from The Post Lounge.

Beyond editing and photography, I contribute to Montréal-based brand Hiatus Golf and enjoy utilising all my skills to create interesting stories.
